1981 Porsche 911 SC Targa

A special client came back to us with a special wish for his SC Targa. Originally he came to us with an itch for Cognac (the colour, not the drink), but after a bit of conversation we noted that the cream paintwork of the Targa had subtle hints of green in it.

So to make that wish even more distinctive, we opted to trim the entire interior in green Nappa leather, whilst also upgrading to period-correct factory sport seats. All the leather surfaces are covered in the striking shade of green leather, and complimented by matching dark green squareweave carpets with leather binding. If you delve in further you’ll spot some extra touches such as leather-wrapped seatbelt receptacles. And find the centre console has a magnetic phone charger incorporated into it, which is a stealthy but practical feature that we are often asked about these days. Finding neat ways to integrate modern tech into classic cars is really key to a successful interior. The targa roof was also retrimmed in the  Mercedes cloth.

We’re really pleased with the end result and we know our client, and good mate,  feels the same way. Although we know David still has a  little hankering for Cognac...
