1975 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 2.7

A rare and special car, this Targa is 1 of 3 delivered in Australia. For the Porsche enthusiasts, it’s essentially akin to the iconic 73 RS but with  incorporating an open-air experience.

Given its rarity, this retrim was treated as a full restoration where keeping the originality was crucial. This meant having to source the factory tan pigskin vinyl, which essentially covers all of the surfaces. In this car, it is literally tan vinyl everywhere. Usually the door pockets would be trimmed in carpet and the upper sections would be wrapped in black vinyl. The true craft of trimming in vinyl is learnt through many years of experience and working on classics, as vinyl only stretches one way requiring each panel to be cut to the bias. If not done correctly, the results will be very apparent.

Whilst it was in the workshop, the targa roof was also redone in the factory correct, heavygrain black targa vinyl.
